The former president's Family Member Gets Expert Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of Professional Golf First Appearance

Young golfer preparing for major competition

The rising star boasts substantial online following

The young golfer can count on plenty of high-profile backers when she starts her professional golf debut on Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to a former US president, was granted a special exemption to compete at Florida's Annika event in Florida.

Her grandfather, an avid golfer, owns numerous courses worldwide and regularly plays against Kai.

"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she mentioned.

Kai explained that Trump, unable to come, counseled her: "Just stay calm."

"My grandpa essentially suggested to go out there and have fun," she explained.

"From my perspective, he's just a regular grandfather. He can't make it for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, making him rather occupied."

Being non-professional, the golfer has competed in a mere three competitions in 2024 and holds ranking 461 in AJGA listings.

Yet she can get advice from Tiger Woods, who is dating Vanessa.

"He is the best player globally," Kai stated.

"Additionally, he's an even better person. He advised me to go out there, relax, adapting to whatever happens."

The golfer will compete against several the biggest names in the sport at the competition, such as world number two Nelly Korda, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.

Officials stated that her participation exposes the sport to wider groups, particularly reaching younger fans.

The social media influencer has millions of followers and has started a personal clothing and lifestyle brand.

The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
