Plane Carrying US Defense Secretary Required to Land in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield
A plane ferrying the US defense secretary was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the plane's windshield, as stated by an announcement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.
"The aircraft landed following standard procedures and everyone onboard, such as Pete Hegseth, is secure," a press officer stated in a public statement.
He was traveling back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital during the flight.
This event isn't the initial instance that a US military aircraft transporting a top government figure has encountered equipment failures.
In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting the US Secretary of State to the city in Germany was required to turn back to Washington DC after experiencing a mechanical fault.
