Eulogies Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

Over a fortnight subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones persist in remembering the duo.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, explained he just recently felt able to share openly about his deep grief.

"Enough time has elapsed that I can now express my sorrow into words," shared Elwes, noting that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started spending more time together I realized this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor uploaded behind-the-scenes footage from the production, remarking that he doesn't recollect "one day without laughter".

"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob cherished deeply. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I remember you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a distinct essay, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the protagonist.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with the cast, and he comprehended the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

In a new development, a Los Angeles court official agreed to block the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, at the request from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive placed a embargo on the files to limit the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" associated with the active case.

The coroner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the result of homicide, with a public database noting the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Response and Criticism

Following the deaths, public personalities expressed divergent comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump posted on the matter, offering divisive remarks that were met with immediate backlash by many commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his perspective to the those speaking out last week. Speaking on his show, Rogan labeled the comments as "disturbing" and remarked they showed a worrisome absence of compassion.

Rogan finished by remarking that an adviser could have acted when the decision to weigh in on the tragedy was made.
